Impact Printers:
They print by striking ribbon against paper.
They may produce carbon copies.
They produce much noise and called noisy printers.
Dot matrix, Daisy wheel and line printer are the example of these computers.
Non-Impact Printers
They print the paper using magnetic tape electrostatic, thermal, chemical, optical, inkjet or laser printer.
They can not produce carbon copies.
They use noiseless techniques and are called quite printer.
Thermal, continuous stream inkjet and laser printer are the example of non-impact printers.
